Attempted the "cut that out" achievement

but I've yet to be awarded with it, even though I have done as it says? The hairdryer doesn't seem to make the customer leave at all, or become upset, and the water bottle (when used incorrectly) makes them sad and leave, but again, the achievement won't ding. Any ideas? It states people have done it, so is it broken?

Hello Alice,
The dryer works just like the sprayer, but you have to use them directly on the customer's hair, not on their face.

I've done a few more attempts this evening, making sure to stick to the back of the head, and I've still not been awarded it.
It's definitely broken :(

HairDresserTeam not true, You need to make them leave while using those tools, not matter where you gonna use them directly. I've got it using sprayer on someones face xd.

Alice Langford your save probably has these stats saved as done or it's just bugged on that save, try doing it using a new game.
